Forever Home Wanted: Tank and Skittles!! Tank and Skittles were both abandoned at the Baldwin Park Shelter by their family. They were separated at the shelter and then both got VERY sick. Many of you will remember Tank, we pulled him and Skittles was rescued by Smashface Rescue. They are both 100% healthy and had a wonderful new home together. Beau is a happy go lucky boy who loves to play but settles down great in the house. Beau is crate trained, housebroken, up to date on all vaccines, micro-chipped, and neutered. He is now about 18 to 24 months old. He is 1/2 Yellow Lab & 1/2 Ridgeback. We actually know this to be his accurate mix because he was surrendered to us by his owners. Beau is great on a leash and has been taught not to pull with the use of a training collar. Beau also knows some basic commands like sit, stay and come. He is still working on his down and down stay. Beau is wonderful with people but needs a strong leader, not because he is aggressive, but because he ... (Read More)is an active dog that loves to run hike and play. Beaux is great with other dogs male and female, but will not be placed in a home with any dominant or unaltered males. We prefer he go to a home with another dog to play with, and a meet and greet can be set up. Beau is looking for an active home where he can be part of a family....forever this time. Beaux is in a foster home in Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley where he plays nicely with some Mastiffs in the program. Beau is safe around children, but is active, so older children are preferred. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required.
